A Letter from the President of USMA –
Rick Harrison

USMA President 2009-2010

Continued from the homepage...

The entire supply chain has become much more relevant and complex during the last several years and especially during the last 18 months. Utilities, Manufacturers and Suppliers are all struggling with declining revenues. We continue to strive to meet our commitments to our customers, companies, shareholders and communities we serve. The issues we face have become more numerous and complex in and of themselves. Critical issues facing our industry are regulatory, financial, environmental, infrastructure, workforce management and unstable commodity pricing just to name a few. It is imperative that we collaborate with each other more than ever before to identify value and solutions to help improve our economic performance. We need each other, therefore, healthy relationships and mutual trust is critical as we move forward.

USMA is designed to deliver industry related information and opportunities to help all of us to gain insight into how we would not just survive, but thrive in our corporations, organizations and careers. As a USMA attendee, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Acquire new skills
  • Receive continuing education credit to support career objectives
  • Develop and nurture relationships with peers from your industry and supply chain professionals
  • Gain new insights into changes within our industry
  • Benefit from the experiences of your peers
  • Enlarge your network within our industry

We trust that this year's conference will exceed all of your expectations while also equipping you with potential solutions to meet your supply chain demands.
