Port Charlotte Spouse/Guest Program & Options
The USMA Spouse/Guest Package offers a wonderful opportunity for those accompanying conference registrants to join in on the fun and social activities. While this package does not include access to educational sessions, exhibit/networking events, or conference meals, it provides plenty of memorable experiences and connections.

Welcome Reception
- Kick off the conference at the Sunday afternoon Welcome Reception on the 2nd floor of the Sunseeker Resort in the Great Egret Ballroom. Enjoy an open bar, snacks, and the chance to meet fellow attendees. Dress casually and get ready to make some new friends.
Monday Night Event
- Experience a night to remember as USMA takes over a unique venue for this special evening. Details will be unveiled soon. This is the place to be on Monday night exclusively for USMA!
Tuesday Activity
(Choose One) Each option takes place in the morning returning to the hotel around lunch time.
Option 1: Kayak Peace River Paddle Through the hidden waterways of the Peace River on a Kayak Eco Tour. Watch for dolphins, manatees and other wildlife while you relax in comfortable seats and take in immersive views of Florida’s river banks. Dress to consider sun exposure and the possibility of getting a little wet.
Option 2: Artists in the Garden – surrounded by the natural beauty of the Peace River Botanical Gardens, guests will be guided through an artist-led painting class designed to inspire creativity in a serene outdoor setting. Perfect for all skill levels, this experience blends relaxation and self-expression as participants capture the vibrant colors and textures of the gardens on canvas. All materials are provided ensuring that you will take away your personal masterpiece and a lasting memory of your time in these beautiful gardens.

Important Details
- Pre-registration is required—all USMA events sell out quickly.
- On-site registration will NOT be available.
- A spouse/guest registration must be attached to a full conference registration
- All participants must be at least 21 years old.

Air Travel

There are several airport options for travelers attending the conference:
- Punta Gorda Airport (PGD): Closest to the hotel but with limited airline service.
- Fort Myers – Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW): About 40 minutes from the hotel, offers the widest range of airline options, and is the most convenient choice for most travelers.
- Sarasota–Bradenton International Airport (SRQ): Smaller airport with easy access to rental cars just outside the terminal. The drive to the hotel is almost a straight route via highway and takes just over 40 minutes.
Other Airports:
- Several additional airports in the region may be considered by those combining other travel with the conference.
Optional Add-On Activities
5K Run/Walk
5K Run/Walk – $60 Start your Sunday, May 17, 2026 with a run/walk across the bridge ending in Gilchrist Park with a Food Truck Breakfast. A finishers medal will be awarded as you enter Gilchrist Park. $60 per person, supporting the selected charity. All fees are non-refundable. No possible credit toward a future event.
Golf Tournament
Golf Tournament – $195 Check out the Golf page on this website for details regarding USMA’s Annual Charity Golf Tournament. $195 per person. This event will take place on Sunday morning, May 17, 2026 at the Aileron Golf Club. This event will sell out early. All golf fees are non-refundable. No possible credit toward a future event.
Spa, Yoga or Self-directed Exercise
Book a spa activity at the Lorelei Spa located in the hotel. Ask for your USMA 10% discount. Ask the Spa about Yoga classes. The hotel has one of the largest hotel gyms with a wide variety of equipment, open to all hotel guests.
